Why would you want to put a 2.5 liter 4 banger in place of a 3.9L V6?
Or are you asking "Can I replace my 2.5 with a 3.9"?
The bell housing might not match; but for some of the 5 speed manuals, the bell housing is separate, so you can swap that.
That's actually the most minor problem you'll get into ...

yeah i meant replace my 2.5 with a 3.9. but the bell housing is not separate. i was just wondering because i cant find another 2.5 engine for the life of me and don't want to get rid of truck. Thanks anyway.
