Default gen 1 Beltlines search

The outer beltline seals on my 1993 Dakota are badly cracked and loosing chunks of rubber. All the other door and window seals and channels have been purchased but I cannot locate the outer beltlines. Precision shows the inner beltlines but not the outer beltlines. https://www.prp.com/product/detail/3...akota&type=All , RockAuto is no help either. Anyone have any suggestions? My Dakota is primed and ready for paint but I am holding off until I have everything I need to put it back together.
Thanks in advance.

Write (or email) PRP and Raybuck both.

If enough of us do, one of them will make some more.

PRP also has a presence on Facebook - I'd hit them up there also.

Thanks RwP. I will follow up on the request to PRP. In the meantime, when I search for Dakota beltlines I sometime get results for Jeep beltlines. Has anyone cross referenced these to see if their compatible? Since my 93 Dakota LE (single owner since new and a rust free Texas truck) is in the paint prep stage I would look at any compatible alternative to waiting for a manufacture to make a run of a low volume item (fat chance). Possible an OEM part number to cross reference to other Mopar models?

I don't know how accurate their "In Stock!" is, but I found a pair at https://collectorsautosupply.com/win...-dodge-dakota/ .

Be worth checking out, I think.

All the other weatherstrip is available in a kit from PRP, so I'd get that also. And if Collectors has them, I'd be DAMN sure to let PRP know they lost that sale And Raybuck.

RwP, thanks for the link. I'm going to check this one out. I've looked at dozens of suppliers but have missed this one. Pricey but worth it to keep water out of the doors and cut down wind noise.

Ayep.

I wonder if we can recover old ones to make new ones ... maybe with some rubber from, say, Steele Rubber?

Be worth investigating, I think.

PRP replied that the tooling is no longer available to make them; and that there's no amount of money that can get new ones made.

So maybe time to investigate making something work?

Latest reply from PRP:

Hi Ralph, we have had to re-develop them so eventually we will get them back in stock but do not know when that will be.

So there you have it. Email, chat, or PM them on Facebook, give them a twist. If they see 100+ DIFFERENT people asking about them, they may put a bit more urgency on it.

Might be obvious but if all else fails I say keep scouting boneyards near and far, I grabbed a set a few years back that were perfect.

If you don't live near one try car-part.com and search "Moulding (Front Door)". Should be a few results, see if they'll ship to you.
