steering column removal?

Question steering column removal?

Hello: I replaced my rack IN pinion 2 years ago, needed steering column could not find one at the time, found one and can't get the column separated from the rack have all the bolts that I can see out column is ready to come out, just will not separate can some help thanks.

I don't think it is supposed to separate there. Need to get it off down at the rack.

What HeyYou said.

That's so that they can have a tilt/non tilt column, and a 2WD R&P/4WD Recirc Ball gear box, and only have to mate the one to the other (instead of offering four different intermediate shafts).

Some heat may help it come back apart.

What you do for the rack end is, as you're aware, remove the roll pin.

(I say you're aware since you've already swapped the rack and pinion.)

It separated there when I removed and replaced the Rack IN pinion.

Thanks I'll heat it up and see it that helps, can't get to the roll pin good enough to get a swing on it thought of that a while back this ones being a bugger. thanks for the reply.
