Default Exhaust Questions

hey, so i was wanting to put dual exhasut on my truck, but im not sure were i should put the Y pipe. I was going to take off the cat, and then just run pipe. Were would u put it? How would it sound if i took the cat off, and then put the muffler were the cat was a then split the pipe after the muffler so it looks like i have dual exhaust?

thanks

cut the pipes off before the Y and run 2 pipes that way.or cut it off after the Y and run a single 3 inch pipe.i took my cat off, it sounds louder without it, but check local laws about it or get a high flow cat put on. i had an S-10 with duals with flows and no cat and it sounded good[/align]

What do you do with the seperate 1/2" air line off the pump that goes into the CAT?

a pretty simple way to make dual exhaust is to remove your muffler and replace it with a split tail performance muffler, this will only leave you the work of removing the muffler and tailpipe and fabing new tail pipes

I looked on mine and I dont have that at all. Try following it and see where it goes to, and if not sure take another picture.
