A Dakota and Dakota Sport? Does the Sport have like a posi rear or anything special aside from the blacked out grill (mine is black). Thanks in advance.

 

thats a good question, b/c truck isa SPORT but it is the baseest of base models so is there a reall diff?

 

That what I'm trying to figure out, andbase it is, no a/c, no power windows/doorlocks, no cruise, no rear slider, there is nothing going on inside this truck, which is the way I like 'em.

 

sounds like my truck, the only power options i have is my after market stereo

 

idk mines a sport, and yea power nothing, unless you count brakes and steering, and no cd player(at least till i can afford one for it), but mine does have the sliding rear window, and it is a club cab, but yea power nothing, and there is nothing that can go wrong w/ it right???

 

I dont know what the real differences are, but my 88 is an SE it has no power options at all just power steering and a sliding back window, it didnt even have a tape deck when I got it, just AM/FM radio. and it has a chrome grill and a silver dash insert.

the 99 is a sport and has everything power on it except for the overhead computer. and it has painted body pannels.

 

Anybody know if the first gens came with posi rears, or am I going to have to jack it up and spin 'em?

 

your gonna have to jack it up and spin them. unless you go to the dealer with your vin# and get a build sheet for your truck.
