Default Front end grinding noise help

Hi all. Started getting a loud metal on metal grinding noise from the left front on my 96 Dakotawhen braking to a complete stop. Replaced the caliper, both front rotors, and installed new pads. Noise is still happening. Seems like it only happens when coming to a complete stop from low speed. When stopping from highway speeds I don't get the noise (so far). Anyone got any suggestions? Was thinking it might be the hub, but there's no wheel movement when I jacked it up. Thanks forany answers.

i changed the pads and calipers lately and had to take a grinder to the caliper to get the pad to slide properly, the aftermarket stuff didnt fit out of the box without a little modification. dont know how the 96 is, but the 89 shoes fit hard with long metal finger type tabs

You can try greasing everything. the pads where it slides on the caliper bracket. where the pads are held in by the caliper. the slide pins (bolts) that holds the calipers on. The pads may also be istalled wrong or too lose.

nicegy525 got it in one!! Everyone kept telling me the noise was from the front. Had my dad drive it around the driveway while I walked beside it. Could definately hear the grinding coming from the rear. Put new drums and pads on the rear and the noise is gone. Thanks again.

Thanks for the replies guys it was all good advice. It was my bad listening to everyone tell me thenoise was coming from the front, should have checked the rear brakes sooner. Just glad I'm not getting scared looks from people everytime I come to a stop sign anymore.
