Since you are having problems with your oil pressure, I would start with the oil and not with the coolant.
My first couple of estimates are to check you oil level and make sure it is within the proper range and not overfilled.
Another thing that will adjust your oil pressure is the weight of the oil you are using.
The best way to do both of these is to simply do an oil change. Pour in 5 quarts of 5w-30 oil and a new oil filter, then start it up and let it run for a minute. Then check your oil pressure guage.

thank you .i went to autozone when i got the truck.he told me to use 4 qt's 10-40 with a qt of lucas.i told him it had 217k when changing the oil i noticed some paint marker on the oil pan.so i would assume it is not original.i guess i will change the oil.the temp of the water is lower with the 180.i think a set of gages soon.thanks again.

I usually use 5w30 because I don't like where my oil pressure guage goes to when I use a heavier weight. And I always use a lighter weight oil in the fall and winter because it is easier on my motor. Also, Lucas Oil Treatment is heavy stuff in and of itself.
The coolant (water) is going to be cooler with the 180 thermostat because it opens sooner than OE, so it starts cooling the engine sooner. I , myself, stuck with the OE temp when I replaced mine.
Have fun with the guages. I like mine too much to give them up....
