Default Cheap Transmission

Can anybody tell me where i can my tranny rebuild for cheap or where i can get a good cheap one?...its A518

You definitly want to spend the money on a rebuild. Going cheap will cost you more in the long run.

search ebay, they have new and remana518's on there cheaper than nationwide transmission wanted to rebuild my a500!!!

most of the eBay sellers want $300 for shipping...I'm assuming you are paying to ship the new one and ship your core back. $300 is a big chunk of change for shipping. I'd start calling around to see who has a rebuilt one for exchange or try www.car-parts.com and find a local slavage yard that can give you some warranty on a used tranny.

Most shops want to do it in the truck since its computerized and they want $1100-1600...and the ones that would let me take it out want $800-1100...i wish i could rebuild it myself...how hard is it to rebuild it yourself if you have never done it?

i did find a salvage with the only two i could find and the guy wanted 450 plus core and tax and it had over 300k on it and he had another for 400 plus core and tax with no warranty

I know its not cheap...the funny part is i only gave $400 for the truck a couple months ago and it has a V8
