What kinda setup are you runnin? Since you say "antennas" I'm guessing duals, but what kind of antennas, what brand, what radio, and where'd you put all of it? I'm a truck driver, and therefore have a CB in all of my vehicles (lol) and enjoy swapping stories/info with everyone. Cheers!

thank you, thank you

i know i will use the VHF more then the CB, but the CB is more useful in the truck because i may be able to hear traffic and stuff ahead...im most likely going to get the VHF, because i like to know whats going on in the boating world and out on the water.

dont know if it is just where i live or not but if you get caught with a vhf in your truck they will burn you big time. I had a cb in mine for a while with a black and red firestick antenna. did not use it enough so i took it out.

I don't use my CB much anymore either, I catch too much interference where I'm at. Only use it on the freeways every once in a while to talk to truckers, my scanner has been more useful lately when it comes to what's going on ahead of me and even what the weather will look like in the next hour or so. Got marine, air, fire, rescue, police, NOAA, and more on it, still gray on if it's illegal or not in Illinois to have it mounted in a vehicle, but mines hidden away nicely and I really only turn it on when I know the weather is going to be unpredictable or if I hear sirens.
