anyone have any suggestions on what the best headers for my 93 5.2 2wd would be? are all headers the same? ive seen some from $150-650.

 

i my opinion the best headers would be some doug thorleys, but they are a little pricey at 579.95 from summit... i have been thinking about getting some of the ceap ones off ebay. the are stainless with thick flanges, one of the gus fro the ram forum got some and said they work good. here is a link for all of the ones summit has http://store.summitracing.com/egnsea...115+4294918680.

 

Personally I recommened Gibson Headers they very good quality but for $400 little steap so I just got headers from flowtech which is owned by Holley which is just as good a quality.

 

I had pacesetters on my '93 and they were great, they might still be available thru Summit or Jegs

How difficult is it to put headers on a 94 318 4x4?

 

Headers are easy to install. The hard part, at least for me was the bolts for the headers. The tubes block access when trying to use sockets. So a rench is nessary, unfortantly ratchet renches are to thick. On my TA I was able to get a set of bolts that use a aleen head socket to screw it on. Then a wrench to get it tight. I also use Flowtech like Fox. They are cheep but good quailty. Bolts up with stock exhast pipes. It even incudes a egr atachment.

 

Are these legal for street use? I did a search for Flowtech 91940FLT and found a site that had them for 199. But they say that are not for use/sale in California and that they are not street legal:

summit makes them, there actually pacesetters and they are legal in all states if im correct.
