So, if you have these lights on your dash lit up, very good chance you have no brake lights.

I feel stupid for not checking sooner!
This is not necessarily true, as both my ABS and brake light are on, but my brake lights work. Those lights will come on in unison to inform the driver of one of many different problems...

Yes, those lights will come on if there is a leak. Mine is leaking in the exact same spot as yours (On the T) and both of my lights are on..

Check for a leak. You mighta blown a brake hose, you never know. Any difference in the brake pedal when you go to stop?

While you've disconnected the battery, check the black case on the driver's side of the engine compartment which the lid pops off. Check the sticker on the top of the lid to see where the ABS and Brakes are, pull out the switch and put it back in. This should help, if you haven't fixed this already.

Has it stayed on or has it gone away? Like I said, mine usually goes on randomly or when the brakes get wet. (1993 Dakota 5.2l v8 4spd auto, 4x4)
mine haent gone away yet i will take it to work and just used the code scanner to delete it
