hey i have a 93 dak with the 318 and i have a question that i would like to know the answer to asap cause when the truck is running there will be a black liquid drippin out of the exhaust and i was wounderin wat it could be if anyone knows wat it could be please let me know

How much is leaking? does it just a drip a little? because I would say its just moisture, i can see the stains around my bad welds where it leaks in my exhaust...

well it drips a good amout when its running i talked to a friend of mine who is a mechanic and he said that it might be a head gasked or the rear main seal that went out but im not sure wat it could be cause im not the greatest at mechanical work im only good at body work

well i was wondering if anybody knows wat could be causing the black liquid coming out of the exhaust cause i would like to know asap so i know wat i need to do to get it to stop doin it

I dont have a good answer for you but I would suggest if it is leaking that much that you put a bowl or something under it to catch enough so you can get a good sniff and feel of the material without wiping the carbon inside the pipe or the dirt of the ground.

If it is antifreeze or gas you will know very quickly. my guess is just condensation

It's just condensation! Water mixing with carbon build up inside the exhaust system. Nothing to worry about.
