There really isn't much you can do, my friend had an 88 dak and he used a piece of wood that he wedged in between the plastic trim pieces on the driver side and the passenger side so when he was finished the natural bend in the wood conformed to the contour of the "ceiling" and held the headliner up, it still sagged up it was up and out of the way at least

I replaced mine on my 90 around 1999 or so. They came to me and did it I remember there is a solid formed insert that the material is glued to. You could get some spray glue and remove it and glue new material and re installl it.

The best thing to do is replace it your self. Mine was sagging after a week or so of rain where the heat and moisture in the air unguled it.

So I took it off. I got some hobby shop glue and a few days latter it started sagging again. This time I got some heavy duty uphostry spary. This one you have to be with a uphostry shop to get. I sparyed it. Now it says up. Well sort of. In the cold mornings 35 degs or so it will sag. When temps get higher it goes back up. I think I didnt strech it enough when reglueing it. Taking it off does meen you have to remove the side pannels and trim.

But it took me about 1 hour or so for R&R. I did let the liner dry for an night under some pressure.

It is very easy to do, but don't expect to reuse the old one. Get some 3m spray(good stuff as mentioned above), and some new cloth from a fabric place. Joanne fabrics is what we have around here for instance, I actually got mine from a Ben Franklins craft store. (Local new england chain). Just get the closest match and be done with it.

And of course you can always use baby diaper pins to hold it up temporarily, but that might damage the inner liner itself.
