interior lights, dash lights, and the radio
i own a 1992 dakota. the interior lights ,dash lights, and the radio worked then i changed the battery and they quite working.what would cause this to happend?
Check all your fuses again. (In the interior fuse block and under the hood). A visual inspection isn't always the best.
Get a multimeter out, remove each fuse, and test each fuse for continuity between each contact. Sometimes they "break" where it's hard to see.
All fuses, even the big "maxi" fuses.
99% sure it's a fuse problem.

Agreed, There is another fuse box just in front of the battery under the hood. Once you pop that cover off check the #5 fuses,(may only be one) and replace the one that is blown. I recently went through a fit like this and blew 4 before I found out what was blowing them....it was the hood light.
What caused mine to blow was the passenger side floor light. But it was totally my fault. I was doing some work, and didn't protect the live wire for the light (put electrical tape over it). Traveling down a country road, hit a bump, it contacted a ground, lost my radio and some lights

Yeah dash lights are not controled by that fuse. I believe that there is another fuse that must have blown. And I dont think that fuse is in the cab. If you pull the cover off of each of the boxes there is a diagram of what fuses link to what components. If nothing else, pull out your owners manual. It should tell you what all the fueses do. (Thats how I found the fuse for the radio and cab lights.)
