Oil Weight
Would it be wise to have the local auto shop rebuild it as it is going to be my DD through college? I have the funds now to have them to drop it and replace all the bearings and seals and put a new chain in it. I might go this route if that seal doesnt solve the problem. I know I will have to remove the front drive shaft i have a 1/2' rachet set of my dads from the farm with breaker bar, also have so good size cresent wrenches. SO how would I go about replacing the seal?

Removing the old seal, I totally messed it up. It didn't even look like a part when I got done with it. But hey, it was the *old* part
But yea, getting that yoke nut off will be the hardest part.

Lol, yeah, I replaced the rear transmission seal a couple months ago and by the time I got it out it wasn't recognizable.
UPDATE!!!!! I didnt to the t case today but focused my energy on the throttle body. After inspection of the various vaccum lines i found that the one running from the TB had a hole the size of a 1/4'' drill bit and that the gasket/spacer between the TB and the intake was/is craking and peeling. I didn't get it back together today as the kit that I had ordered did not include the TB to intake gasket
. I cleaned up the TB some and it is shiny now
, hopefully replacing those vaccum lines and the cleaning will improve my MPG and when i get to the T case.
