Default trans swap help please

i need to know what all i would need to put the 5spd from a 93 dakota 4x4 into my 91 dak 4x4 i know i need the trans and the bellhousing would i need any other parts??? thanks smokey

Whats in the 91 now? stick or auto.

it is a A535 5speed manual and im wanting to put in an ax15 5 speed manual

I think the trans and bellhousing would cover it, unless for some reason you needed a new pressure plate or something. I've got a copy of the '91 FSM, if you need anything from it, let me know and I'll try to get it scanned for ya.

any one eles know if all i will need is the bellhousing and transmission and the 93 is a stronger trans correct

I think the '93 trans is stronger than the '91 trans. One other thing to measure would be the driveline. Over on Dak-Dur, a fellow with a '91 swapped in a '93 tranny and had to have a new driveline made. His, however, is a lowered 2wd.

anyone know if the mach speedo will interchange with the elec one on the 93 i beleave that the 93 uses a speed senser not a cable

They will interchange with no problem just remove the sensor and housing that is bolted on the side of the tranny and gear and install the Pieces exactly how you take it off.
