Angry im back

hello guys i have a 96 dakota 4x4 extcab automatic the big green headlight wire gets so hot it will burn you if you tuch it help plz what makes it like that

Probably a few possibility's. One is that you have a short somewhere and it is causing the wires to heat up. One is the power supply is not sufficient and the wire is overheating due to the resistance in it. Another is that the headlights require to much power. Some say that dodge should have built in heavy duty relays to control the power to the headlights. You can add your own relays. It would be an easy install.

lol. Do you have the stock bulbs in there? I have heaard of higher wattage bulbs melting headlight plugs and wiring all the way to the switch

how do i put the relays in and the head lights are sylvania.Im not good with wiring so how would i fide a short if that is my problem any help would be good thx.

its cool crazy, we will still let you be a moderator, lol. to find the short look for bad spots in the wire, just traced it back to the source, or use a multi meter to checkc the resistance.
