Lifting/lowering rear without blocks

Would this be a good drop in the rear for a drift set up

It would help get the center of gravity down. So go for it, but don't forget you got to make the front match.

It is low on my priority list, but my 2wd 89 may get the rear end lowered just enough to make the back even with the front stock levels....


I am thinking that in order to do it with minimal change of pinion angle, it might be wise to relocate the hangers at both ends of the springs.

So has anyone thats done this on a 4x4, that can tell me if you will need the axle shim, or will it be fine without one?

Yes I have, but I used custom brackets not stock style.
You may need the shim they are cheep $10 each or so, and it will move the axle forward a good inch or so.

will i encounter any issues, besides needing the shim with the axle moving forward? and is there a certain shim i should get? i honestly dont know what im looking for with a shim, i just read it was possibly needed....
