its actually alot more simple than you thought to cancel the air pump out. to remove it all you have to do is loosen the adjustment screw and take that belt off. be sure to re tighten the adjustment screw tho as the air pump will move when you hit bumps. also make sure all your other belts are tighten to proper specifications. you might have to take off the power steering belt to get the air pump belt off tho, i cant remember which is in front of which. good luck
i also own a '91. its not all one belt, they didnt do the serpentine until they made the magnums. the '91 has 4 different belts in which if on is removed (the air pump), all the other belts will still work and eveything will work except the air pump

hmm thats odd because mine is a 91, pre magnum and it has the serpentine belt
