Default check engine light codes

hey guys. taking a look at some of that exhaust air pump and i decided to check to see if my truck was return any codes.

the CEL comes on when the key is turned to the on position like normal. after it goes out initially, it blinks 1 2 3 3 5 5

i thought 5 5 meant the end of the sequence, but i also thought i should see 8 8 before anything else.

Whenver you post something up about engine codes, it helps us out a lot if you say what the codes are, not just the numbers.

12 is a pointless code, it just means the battery has been disconnected recently.
33 means you have a problem with the A/C clutch relay
55 is end of codes.

There is no code 88, what did you think should pop up?

the haynes manual says 88 is the start of the test but i've never seen it and i'm pretty sure no one else has, so i wouldn't worry about it.

ive never gotten the 88 code. mine always just stays on for a bit, then turns off, then starts the sequence and ends with 55
