ok so im f%#%@^* out ideas.... my only only idea is that maybe i overfilled and just got it up to temp and it flooded out the extra. because i went through 3 cans of brake clean cranked up drove ran got up to temp but nothing no more leaks before during or after heres a pic of the area.

Did it come from that hole? I know my dipstick tube was leaking and it looked like it leaked from there, the pan and every other hole.

+2 on that. +1 for my 2wd tranny. +1 for 4wd tranny. Both times I had to find a new o-ring. It looked to me like it was leaking from that corner of the oil pan.

as far as i could tell when i saw it leaking it was coming from wher that bracket is for the shifter so idk. hopefully it was over full emptys the extra and is fine now. i will keep yall updated i appreciate the fast replies though guys.

well so much for wishful thinking went out to check it out and of course its leaking again......#@%#$%^#$%^ so yeah heres a 2 pics they are blury but you can see the shifter and the fluid around the bottom.

ok so i went out ran it drove it got it to running temp atleast as far as i can tell. i mean most cars ive seen they go up to a quarter or maybe half way and stay in between there mine goes from cold to maybe maybe a quarter and back down but anyways.

i got it to temp left it running in neutral and went through the gears a few times this is what im gettin. do yall think its still over filled?

It's been a while since I checked the fluid level on my automatic (seeing as its not in the truck anymore), but if I remember it right, that looks low. Your problem is definately not related to it being over filled. I say replace that seal and call it done. And while you're at it, you may as well replace them all.

And that must be a 180 deg thermostat someone put in the truck, cause that's about where my temp gauge sits, but mine is a little lower than that... right on that line.

yeah id love to replace them all but i do believe my apartment complex is starting to get tired of the parking spots covered in tranny filter and me rolling around under my truck all day and night
