Being an '87 v6, you should have the A999 (32rh) transmission. Here is what I could find about it from allpar.com (you should check out that site, it has tons of info)...

The various Torqueflites had the same internal ratios, despite their other differences. Until 1980, they were relatively narrow (see Tom Hand's detailed article); in and after 1980, a wide-ratio gearset was introduced and used in most of the 998 and 999 transmissions. This ratio was 2.54 in first, 1.54 in second, and (as with the earlier Torqueflites) 1.00 in third. This gearset, which uses a welded-steel planet cage, is noisier and less durable than the original-ratio gearset with its machined-aluminum planet cage, but the lower first and second gears helped cope with the tall rear axle ratios needed for gas mileage.
Your transfer case should be the NP207, which has a low range of 2.61:1 and a high range of 1.00:1

Yeah, you're right... the jeep version of the 207 has the 2.61:1 ratio, but I guess the dodge version has the 2.72:1.

YES, same for 2wd and 4wd, for that matter it's the same for all 904 based transmissions

What would the axle ratio be? I have the same truck as razor rc, a 1987 dakota 4x4 auto 3.9, and it feels like the engine is running a million rpms at 65 mph and my foot is pretty much on the floor to get it there. it is all stock except for 31x10.50 tires
