Default What are you Thoughts??

Ok so i have been posting quite a-bit about some various things and you guys are very helpful. Now i have an 88 3.9L carburated 2
wd dakota w/ 126xxx and she runs GREAT, but is pretty rusted and needs body work. I just got another 89 3.9L TBI 2WD dakota -tranny w/ 150xxx on engine, this one has very little body rust and is not the LE like my 88 so les electrical bull. Now i i was going to convert the 89 to 4x4 and build a 390 stroker and lift and throw that in her But with the ignition acting up in my 88 and the body work needed on her. I was just going to either put my tranny in the 89 and tune her up for my driver and tare apart my 88 as a project truck??? Or throw the carb engine and tranny in the 89 and work on the 88??? Or i was thinking diagnose the ignition and fix that and pull some various parts off the 89 for my 88 ie. F bumper, grill, hood, fenders, and sell the TBI engine and use the 89 as my project truck. What should i DO.

Here are pics of the two trucks

Thanks again guys

Where are you at because thats a good amount of rust on there and most of the time they dont get rust holes unless it snows a good amount and they (as in your city or county) use a ****load of salt and other crap on the road

Haha you guys must be from the south and or not the midwest. I live in Mn the great and only state that uses salt on they're roads woo hoo. I plan on gettign new F fenders and i will just cut and weld new metal in where the holes are, but those are the only really bad areas, i would really like to strip to the chassy and rhino line it

Hey, Wi uses salt! and I have the rust to prove it too.

my tailgate is about half gone, and my front fenders are gone entirely around the outer edge... so bad my fender flares decided to start flapping int he wind at 70 in the free way I pulled over and ripped them off by hand. Yes I ripped it right through the rust... the flares weren't affected at all.
