with oil on the outside of the engine it would be the intake gasket, it could also be a combination of both tho, i know y plenum gasket was bad along w/ one of my head gaskets and i changed all the gasket/seals from the heads up and am now getting better fuel mileage

How much better millage? have you figured the increase...My engine only has 126000 and runs great but would like to replace all the gaskets at around 150 or so. So if it will help with gas milage im definatly doing it.

If you have a bad gasket it may. But if everything is okay, then it will not help. But you will have new gaskets vs 150,000 mile ones.
