In the add it says that the crank is new in the box ,so it will have to be balanced to his rods and pistons or the ones you buy .Balancing a stroker crank can run in to big coin . That's why some unbalanced kits are alot cheaper .

The way I understand it is you don't necessarily balance a crank to your rods and pistons, you balance everything seperately.

For the pistons and rods, they weigh them to the gram and pick the lightest of the 8 and drill out the others out to match. For the crank, I assume they spin it and drill it out as needed.... kinda like balancing a propeller, but I could be wrong cause I've never seen it done.

For a 6 or 8 you balance the pistons against each other, then the big and small ends of the rods. Now you can calculate the bob weight which is attached to the rod journals .This simulates the weight of the rotating assembly when you spin balance it .But you are right if you are talking about a 4. With a 180 deg crank you have 2 pistons up and 2 pistons down so they balance each other out.
