If I were you and relay going to do the SAS instead of a frame swap, I wouldn't care what wheel bolt patters it all will be. Trying to match the front and rear will eliminate lots of options. And stock rims or anything with our stock 6 lugs are not that great looking. You can find the same style of rims with different bolt patterns. If you buy new this is even easier.

This is true, but it makes rotating the tires impossible if you care about that at all.

And what do you mean none of the 6 lug rims look good crazy?!? I like mine! :P

If i was going to do frame swap that would be to make to 4x4 conversion as easy as possible. instead of adding the 4wd parts to my frame. As for the SAS i will probably to that after the frame swap and after i find the rear end i want. I dont really care too much about lugs matching... :/

Thanks

I mean the do look good but not enough for me to make it match when I find an axle that would be perfect but have to pass it up becasue it is not the same bolt pattern.

Ya rotating would be harder but not to hard. Just flip it side to side or take it to a tire shop to remove the tires and flip it on the rim, if you truely wanted. Just have them flip it. Takes 1 min per tire. Probably cost $10 for it all.

I have found several diff axle shafts with 6x4.5 and up pattern so ill be fine. Not disagreeing with you but where would i be able to find a 8.8 or 9" rear end for my 89? which is currently 2WD but will be 4x4 before i swap rears.

Thanks
Shafts have nothing to do with the bolt pattern on a front axle. I highly doubt there's anyway to get 6x4.5 on a D44 without some serious money.

i got a 9" out of a 78 or 79 f150 and it is 4" wider but it is just enuf that it looks pretty good if you like the wheels out a little. they are actually about even w/ the edges of the fender lips on my 93 2wd/5.2

Well im pretty sure it does, if i have a d44 front end. I found new axel shafts with press on hubs, if thats what they are called with a lug pattern of 5x4.5... Thats if i was reading right. But i dont really care about that its a dumb discusssion im just going to swap frames and get the rear end i want and then worry about SAS

in my opinion if you are going to go through all of the trouble just get the front and rear end out of what ever you get the solid axle from for the front. jeeps use the d44 front and sometimes same in the rear, it varies by year. and they would be close to the same width. i know someone that has a d44 front and d60 rear for sale pretty cheap probably if you want them, they were out of a full size chevy.
