after taking rough estimates my front bumper will be 1.5-2" lower than it is now with the factory lip. so i really don't see myself having any problems as i'm used to driving my 300zx that has a 2" ground clearance and i NEVER bottom out on ANYTHING. if my estimations are wrong i will be trimming the factory chrome bumper about an inch, then attaching the 97+ cover onto that. so it'll actually sit a little higher than the picture i posted.

it works out perfect, because my uncle has a stock 1st gen bumper laying in his yard, so i can mess with that. i just want to source a 2nd gen bumper cover for a cheap price. 80$ is the cheapest i found brand new, but not oem. i'm trying to look through local junk yards to see if i can get one for like 25-30$
