Welcome to DF. You can check out the FAQ for a link to a list of all the codes. Here is what the codes are.
23 Intake air temp sensor out of range
33 A/C clutch relay circuit
55 is end of codes. This is normal.

By your description it sounds like you got a fuel problem. Check your fuel pressure. Next check to see if your fuel injectors are working.

Did you check the splice like it recomments in the FAQ? Seems like it may be a culprit with the starting issue.

yeah i actually got the truck because of the splice....guy couldn't get it to start i found this place and that splice and blamo found the nasty wire and fixed her ....now this gremlin...i know the fuel filter needs a good changing its nasty looking as hell its original...hopefully once i can check the fuel pressure and find a good way to do so and then its off to the injectors....

well...i changed the fuel filter tonight..turns out it was the original filter it poured nasty black gas...the truck still wouldn't start of course. so my neighbor and i checked for some fuel pump sound again and it makes a click but nothing after that..it was onto the fuel pressure and nothing but a couple drips...so im possibly thinking i am going to be needing a fuel pump..what do you pros think?

Ya the pump could be dead. Check to see if your fuel pump relay is working. Next check to see if you are getting power to the pump. If your relay is working and getting power to the pump, then replace it. Sorry to say but you have to replace the fuel sending unit as one piece. Which can be up to $200.

brand new fuel pump 150 tax and all i have family that manages one of those fancy auto parts stores..everybody keeps telling me fuel pump fuel pump fuel pump...cause still if i put starting fluid into the injectors it fires up with ease and the truck wants to start bad its just not pumping no more..im trying to figure the best way to do the fuel pump...i know about taking the bed off but my question on that is wont i mess up my tail light wires?...or since the bed is rusted my inlaw that owns a body shop says to just cut around the bed where i need to get like a can opener then use some sheet metal and tap it back down and use a nice silicon seal and put the liner back on....what are you guys thoughts on that?

taillight wires just unplug. I wouldn't cut a hole in my bed But thats just my .02 worth. Also don't use too much starting fluid, a lot of it is not good for your engine.
