I think I found my neighbors old truck that he got rid of in 04. I've never seen one besides his, it's gotta be it. Can anyone tell me some info about them, as well as good and bad things? Thanks...

Also anyone with a carfax account feel free to post it's records.

Well for one thing Welcome to Dodge Forum! Well anyways for the most part as long as these trucks are takin care of (normal maintenace) they are real reliable, by the way yours looks pretty good, if you havnt shed any info on it can ya post what engine its got if its 2X4,or 4X4,what tranny it has, miles, we like information, and weight for someone else whos owned one for awhile to post to let you know of specifict things about the good or bad about the trucks, though there really isnt much bad about them in general, i havnt had any major problems or anything for tht matter wrong with mine

I didn't buy it just seeing if anyone knows anything about them. Or if anyone's got the carfax to it. It says it's got 88k on it, looks all original.

If in fact it is my neighbors old truck, don't see how it can't be, he told me it was giving him a lot of problems and he had to get out of it, 5 years ago.

Oh, huh did he keep up with the maintenance or what, and with only 88,XXX that dosnt sound right, thats about 40,000 less than what mine has and mines just fine and ive seen and heard of them having over 400,000 miles and still not having problems since the owners kept them up

i believe the 88 is the same as my 89 with the throttle body injection system if it has the 3.9 engine. the only downside with these is engine power, especially with 4x4. dont expect it to be peppy, these premagnums are slugs. no horsepower. however i love my 89 dak and ive had it since new, great truck. that one looks to have been repainted or somehow has not peeled like most of the whiteones do. the paint peel is my only big complaint with these, my 89 is a convertible and the paint its starting to fall off everywhere, primer seems to hold up well though, no real rust yet. mines about the same mileage, origional plugs, typical things are starting to go like radiator, heatercore. have rebuilt my tranny, but i tow a heavey lobsterboat with mine, kinda expected it would die someday, 60 mph towing that boat and that is as fast as it will go pulling between 4k an 5k pounds.

Hi Forum Members,

Can anyone assist me with what mechanical specifications/modifications I need to be aware of when fitting a 1969 Model Dodge La Series 318 to a 1960/70's AT4 114. I am particularly interested in the clutch specs, gearbox specs etc etc as the motor I am rebuilding has no clutch.

So the motor so far has the following upgrades:

balanced, honed and blue printed block bored to 348 cc (was a 318)
CompCam xtreme Energy with 550 lift; 280 duration
Icon Performance Pistons-Forged
Edelbrock RM Magnum Heads
Edelbrock RPM Dual Plain Manifold
Harland Sharp Shaft Mounted Roller Rockers
CompCam Hydraulic Roller Lifter
CompCam Valve Springs
Holley 650

Thanks in advance for any assiatnce

Rob

I don't know if you noticed, but this is a Dakota forum. Try posting in the proper part of the dodge forum.
