timing cover/harmonic balancer trouble
First, thanks for all the help last time. Here's what's going on now.
I replaced the timing set, and water pump on my 89 dak, 3.9 5 speed 4x4.
Here is the problem: the harmonic balancer is coming in contact with the timing cover when I reassemble. I have no idea what is causing this or what to do. The cover is bolted down, even all the mounting brackets which also hold the water pump in place. I know I'll have to take the power steering pump back off to get the balancer on, but nothing seems to get the balancer on without it touching the timing marks on the cover.
I'm at a complete loss. Any help/advice/ideas welcomed.

nope, sorry.
I did get it back on, but my problem now is water in the oil.
I got everything buttoned down, or so i thought and missed a bolt.
Got it in and now there is water dripping from the oil pan drain hole. I know the head is fine or was before.
Any ideas on what would cause this?

From what I remember when I took apart my 360 block, some of the bolts that hold that cover on actually seal the water lines running through that part of the block. Either a bolt didn't get put back in the right spot, or one didn't get tightened down enough, or there is still one missing.
