He put it on an '88. Read his write up, especially page 2 and then decide. What it does is drop the lower control arms down 4 inches. The raises the truck 4 inches from stock, so technically, if you crank the torsion bars after you install the kit, you may be able to get 5 or 6 inches. If you keep the bars at the stock spring rate, you'll have about 2 inches higher than you are now with a lot more comfortable ride.

If you have any fabricating ability, you should study all the pictures, come up with a design, and build your own out of 1/4 inch steel. It will be stronger and cheaper, just take a lot longer. Thats what I would do.

another question, I read with this 4" kit, you will need rims with different backspacing.. anyone know about this?.. I have the 17" R/T rims.. would these work... or what, why wouldnt they fit if so..

The reason you need different rims is because of the knuckle is 4 inches taller with the spacer on, and the rim won't fit around the knuckle. You need a backspacing that would put the back edge of the rim toward the outside of the knuckle assembly.

If you wan to know if your rims will fit, do some measuring!! If they don't fit, send them to me :P

ok.. I see that, but.. my new rims are now 17" would that not fit over.. plus they have a little backspacing.. would this be enough, if not ... its a no go with the lift. I dont got the extra cash for rims as well, plus I like my rims

I can't tell you without some pictures of how your rims fit your current setup, but looking at the picture I posted, I would assume they won't fit over the knuckle, so its all up to backspacing. You can get 1-2 inch spacers if need be.
