Default 92 Dakota 5.2l bucking over 50mph

My Dakota has recently started "bucking" whenever I go over 50mp (or around there). I have to let off the gas a tad to get it to stop, but when I press the gas to take it over 50mph again, it will do the same thing.

Help please!

I believe it may be the torque converter.

Could the distributor cap/rotor be causing it?

If the timing is incorrect. Yes it could.

mine did that at 3500 rpm or 60mph throw it in a lower gear and see if it is rpm related or strictly spead related that might help narrow it down mine was the timing...

It doesn't seem to be RPM-related, it didn't buck in first or second at a steady RPM.

well if you havent done a full tune or maintainence on it, its a little hard to rule them out. so i would do those as well. seen this happen on carbed cars and both times it had turned out to be fuel filter...does it feel like its running out of gas??
