Default Tune Up Questions

Hey guys, Ive got a 93 Dodge Dakota with the 5.2L, 318...just wondering which plugs, plug wires, cap and rotor I should go with. Or where you get them at...
Ive read that the Champion RC10YC4 plugs are good...any other suggestions?

Haven't seen much, if anything on wires...what do you guys run?

Get Autolite 3923 spark plugs. They are the best ones for the magnum engines and are cheap. No autoparts store will list them as being for our trucks because they are 1 step cooler than factory, so you'll have to ask for them by part number.

Other than plugs, Accel makes good ignition parts.

Just out of curiosity, why do you say that those spark plugs are the best? Will the cooling difference have any long-term effects on the engine, either positive or negative?

Also, what would you recommend for replacement wires, distributor cap, and rotor?

The cooler plug helps to prevent pinging/knocking and those particular plugs were dyno proven to be the best match for the magnum engines. If you don't want to take my word for it, search any and every late model dodge related forum out there and everyone will say the same thing. Or read this page:

I'll repeat what I said in my first post, accel make good ignition parts:

Okay, thanks for the info. I wasn't trying to question your recommendation, just curious as to why you recommended it.

Oh no, I didn't mean for that to sound like I thought you were questioning me, I was just saying ask around, anyone who is a regular in any late model dodge truck discussion forum can answer the spark plug question off the top of their head!

Hey guys, I ordered some Autolite 3923 plugs last night on ebay...and the guy emailed me today and said that he is out of stock of those but would upgrade me to APP3923 plugs for no extra cost...he said they are double platinum plugs...think that will be fine?
