What other rims will fit my truck?
Make, models, years?

I am wanting to put 16" rims on it.
I seen on the FAQ thread were they are 5x4.5"
I found some 16" rims (not sure how many lug, haven't contacted owner yet) from a
1998 Tahoe 4x4....would these fit?

No they will not. Here is the copy and paste from the FAQ.

Wheel bolt pattern:
1987-1990 5 x 4.5" (lots use this bolt pattern from Chevy's to Toyota)
1991-2004 6 x 4.5", 6 x 114.3 (rare, hard to find)
Wheels that will work for the 6x 4.5:
92-04 Dakotas, 98-03 Durangos, All Vipers, and 05+ Nissan Pathfinder/Frontier/Xterra, 04-05: Cadillac SRX

Bolt pattern all makes and years:

thanks, wasn't sure if the injectors where direct injection in the heads or just above in the manifolds.
forgot to ask you killrail if you noticed a rattling sound coming from the front of the engine. like a chain in a bucket. my 89 did it and i had to replace my timing chain. if they get worn enough they will skip a tooth and through the timing off. the noise is pretty loud so if you don't notice it right away don't worry about.

Hadn't noticed any rattling sound. But then again it is really hard to tell.
Especially with whatever that roaring noise is. Then the guy I got it from had lost the wing-nut off the air filter housing, so on the ride home I got to hear that thing rattling around too.
The roaring noise almost sounds like something on the bottom of the tire but only half of it... if that makes sense.
The noise is only a noise about half of a revolution of something, the other half it isn't making the noise.
I am hoping it's just the tire. In the past I had a truck that the tires looked okay other than being a little slick. But when you drove the truck and got to 45mph or higher the truck would start "walking" on the front end. I changed out the tires and that solved the problem. Something about those tires (that was unseen) made that truck "walk".

holy crap! my sister had a ford fairmont in the early 80's. took it to a garage to have a tune up. they changed the oil and air filter. they lost the wing nut (guess where). she heard a rattling in the engine and a few months later put a rod through the side of the block. find that wing nut!
