Exclamation Help!

ok. so i just replaced my battery the other day. after doing so my radio turns on and off randomly, and all gauges beside the speedometer and fuel gauge are all acting up. the gauges are reading incorrectly when i know that there is noting wrong and the tach is jumping sparaticly.

so i've tried disconnecting and reconnecting the battery and checking the fuses and relays. i also checked the connection to the battery and the connectios of the wires to the battery clamp.

any body incontered anything like this?

Welcome to Dodgeforum!

Did it ever act up before the battery change? Seems like an odd coincidence! Mine acts up sporatically ever now and then. The tach goes through stages where it jumps around, and the radio has turned on and off randomly before, but never enough to make me want to look for the problem.

My guess though is that there is a loose ground wire or corroded connection behind the gauge cluster somewhere. The only thing you can do is start looking for the bad connection.

That would be my guess too.

Make sure the ground wires on the negative battery terminal are not corroded or lose. Mine has a few wires coming of the negative battery terminal as well as the positive and they get corroded every once in a while.
