Yes correct!

The cap may not be hot to the touch on a fully functioning system.

you cant have both on psi and no leak if temp is running at half gauge scienct you have heat psi will build if its not then YOU HAVE A LEAK you need a psi tester. the psi is going some wear tester shoild also test caps if thear is an auto zone near you they rent them

i think it is my heaer core i get heat when driving nice and hot but when i stop its warm can this be even tho i have clean water coming out both in and out let of the heater core ??

ther can still be hard deposits in the core that the flush isent strong enough to desolve but thats a flow problem this would not stop presur from building

Are you positive that it's leaking? Usually they will overheat if not under pressure.,

no leaking anywher my heat is good when driving but not when stoped the pressure is good was tested by a mec good shop around home the cap was tested too im still gussing heater core i might be wrong but only thing i can guess
