The torsion bars are the front springs. They start next to the rear mount of the lower control arms and go back to a crossmemeber where they are mounted in large cam-shaped anchors. There is one bolt on each anchor. If you tighten the bolt, it lifts the truck, if you loosen the bolt, it lowers the truck. Keep in mind that the raising and lowering is done by changing the pre-load on the bar, which changes the spring constant of the bar. The higher you want the truck, the higher the spring constant, so the stiffer the spring, which makes for a harsher ride.

You will also need a wheel alignment if you turn those bolts because even the slightest change throws off the geometry of the front end.

If you tighten the bolts all the way, and you still want it higher, you can buy aftermarket anchors that have re-indexed keyways... which is where they get the name "torsion bar keys".

By memory the socket size will be 15/16. Or 23mm or 24mm.

First off, let me say, welcome to the forum!!
The kit above is available individually from different manufactures......
But personally, I like seeing any company offering anything for these trucks!
Anybody that is trying to modify a first gen. dakota will come to the conclusion, we have the red headed step child of the aftermarket industry.
Only thing I can think of with less support would be a Yugo!!

Hey guys just naught a 92 dakota v62wd was looking into putting a two to three inch body lift on it to make it little more aggressive look and add 33s any info or best option on a budget would help can't find anything at all
