well today i pulled the heads off my truck and took them in to class(im a full time student at UNOH) and tore them down and hot tanked them then put in new cast iron valve liners and started the valve seats. when thats all done they're getting ported and im trying to get a hold of a set of 1.6/1.7 combo rockers for 300 or less to go in the heads. the intake is getting hollowed out next week and when the weather changes its getting dropped another 2". also been looking for a parts truck(i need a front clip, both doors and a bed) kuz mine went into a ditch about 2 weeks b4 x-mas but i drove it 200 miles back down 2 school about an hour after it was on its side in the ditch

Checked into why my heater blower keeps cutting in and out.
Both my dakota and my 02 durango heater blowers quit working in the SAME 24 HOUR PEROID THIS WEEK! I know, WTF, right!? Durango fixed first (resistor) and then looked into my dakota. The damn resistor is 1/2 MELTED! haha I guess it has been doing that for a year now.
Good think its like a $20 part!

Started to flush heater core & found this-I did get it 'rounded out' but couldn't take pic as anti-freeze & camera phones don't mix. I did get heater core flushed w/tap water & compressed air-didn't use CLR as I wasn't sure if it would do more harm than good if left too long in the core. Anyway I got way more heat than the truck has ever had since I bought it new. It's hard to believe that the heater hoses have been replaced @ least 5 times & all the 'mechanics' have left the core as I found it. Glad that now I'm retired I can keep a close eye on things.

I was in the junkyard the other day and found one. Any 94-97 ram or 96-back dakota under hood light will work.
