Default What did you do to your Kota today?

1st I took the radiator out and flushed it and soldered the top of the tank that had a split in the seam.

Then I took my ladder rack off. Decided to put it up for sale on CL.

Searched around for a new 900cca battery. They used to be $48, now they are $75. What happened?

I started her up after using my jump pack. Battery is just 3 years old and doesnt seem to be holding a charge. Need to get her back on the road and see if the constant running revives the batter.

Drove around in the snow for the fun of it (we get snow maybe once or twice a winter) and ran across 1 person to pull out of a ditch. I had thrown chains in my truck just in case I came across someone who didn't know how to drive, and sure enough found someone!

I didn't have my camera with me I remembered to bring chains, but left my camera at home

But it was a old chevy blazer stuck in the ditch! :P

I did finally get to test out the new AWD!! Its fun! If I get on it hard enough, only the rear axle will spin because its an open diff set up for a 48/52 torque split. So I can make the back end slide out and then let off the gas just enough to kick the front axle back in and pull out of the slide!

Come on what is wrong with you! ;P Oh well you will find another stuck CHEVY to pull out soon!

I only use tow straps after a HUGE HD chain broke and snapped and busted up my friends window.

Yeah, I thought about that. I already had the chain in my garage though. I'll go buy tow straps one of the days, but I didn't feel like going to spend a bunch of money just to be a good semaritan.

It was just out of a ditch though... if I ever have to pull someone out of mud (which requires a lot more force), I'd definately use straps!
