Default Going to install foglights

Hey guys as you might know the stock headlights are not the best and I'm going to be installing an extra set of driving lights. Now I want to install them straight into the bumper, but I'm not sure how to remove or at least get to the back of the bumper. Is there a secret that I should know about? Or if there is a better way of installing the foglights let me know. I was also looking at the front of the bumper where a brush guard would get bolted onto just bolting them on there. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

Are you planning on putting the lights in the bumper, or the air dam (the plastic piece under the bumper)?
And if the actual bumper -- why?

There really shouldn't be anything in the way. Depending on where exactly you want to mount them, you might need to remove the air deflector (goes between the air dam and the radiator lower support crossmember)

On the metal bumper between the headlights. Not the air dam infront of the radiator

Most people will just mount then on top of the bumper. There was one guy who installed his into the bumper. He cut out holes in the buper to mount them in it. If that is what you are looking for, then do a search and find the pics of it. A lot of work!!! But totaly custom.

You should not have to remove the bumper, if you still have the fascia you'll probably need an extra set of hands.

Yea thats what I meant. On the top of the bumper. How do I get to the backside of the bumper. I just drill holes in the bumper I know this, but then how do I get to the backside of the bumper. I bought some decent looking Baja lights so the bolt holding them on is like a 13/32 bolt. Just need to know this so I can tighten them on.

You should just be able to remove the air deflector and/or air dam to access what you need.
I currently have my grille, bumper, and all that removed, so I can't run out and see what might be blocking access.

go to the junkyard and get a lower air dam thats on my 89 sport. it has the cutouts for lights on it, don't forget the brackets. it takes bosch driving lights (had to replace them).
$100 cdn a pair. if your off road a lot forget it because your going to rip them off first trip.
if it's for looks your set.

Well I already have the lights, just waiting for a good day to install them. Now is there a way to run the lights so that they'll turn on with the headlights? The kit just came with a basic on off switch. So I wasn't sure.

I'd like the lights to turn on the headlights if at all possible.

You can run them through a relay block(or whatever they are called) with your headlights and make them turn on at the same time. I have done it before because I kept on forgetting to turn them off.
