They are longer shackles. I'm looking for one that is 2 inches longer than the factory shackle.

Oh, gotcha. Thats a good question. Have you done an axle under swap? I'm still learning the 4x4 and 4x2 differences.

I'd like to do a rear axle under swap and do a BB on the front along with a 2" body lift.

The 4x4s come axle under spring.

To end the confusion, here are the differences...

4x4: Axle is under spring, shackle hanger faces upward.
2wd: Axle is over spring, shackle hanger faces downward.

I'm swapping shackle hangers between my 2wd and 4x4 to gain more lift on the 4x4 and lower the 2wd... I'm going to have 6-8 inches of lift in the front that I need to compensate for in the rear when I do the SAS.

Thats the dumbest thing. The fronts are the same and the rears are in opposite direction, and appear to hold the same position. Why not just use the same mounts for both?

Different ride heights for both. The front of the 2wd sits lower than the front of the 4x4, so they needed the rear to sit lower. It makes sense though, the way they have it set up, you can raise or lower both setups. On the 4x4, you can raise it by putting blocks one it or lower it by putting longer shackles on. On the 2wd, you can raise it by putting longer shackles on, or lower it by putting blocks on it.

Since I have no desire to lower my 4x4, I want it as high as possible, so I'm flipping shackle hangers, putting on longer shackles, and putting blocks on it. One day I might get high arch leaf springs made and get rid of the stupid blocks, but I can't afford them right now.

to an extent yes when the spring compresses it gets longer thats why there are shackles to allow this to move with binding shorter would give more lift(ona4x4) but you would lose articulation if you want more lift just crank the bars and add blocks do n ot use 3" they give too much wheel hop i know cuz i got stuck and could not get ant trackion out back the wheels were too busy hopping around the ride is not bad when you crank the bars i have v8 bars in a v6 carnked them and it rides almost the same

Wheel hop is easy to solve. I've actually been thinking about setting the rear up with ladder bars and a dual-shackled leaf spring.

Hell, my springs are flat as they are now. They bow upwards and hard hitting on bad bumps. Other than that, they have a nice ride. I would like to do a suspension lift on my truck, but not a big choice for the 4x2. It's always measure this and see what other vehicles suspension lifts can be used in its place.
