Default '94 3.9L cooling problems

I have a '94 dakota 3.9 L that overheated last summer. Since then I have replaced the radiator, water pump, fan clutch, temp sending unit, thermostats and checked the heads (OK). It will still overheat with a load on it or in the hot weather. The temp gets to 230 deg and in the winter it won't heat up to 195 deg. It will cool down fast and run fine in cool weather, but I have to baby it in the summer.

Any suggestions?

A new thermastat I put in ended up opening to fast and not closing till it cooled down. With the thermastat wide open the water flows through the rad to fast to be cooled. Try hanging yours in hot water to see if it is opening to early. And if it closes on time

How about rad caps......They can make you run hot if they are not holding pressure. I have a 96 and the temp is fine......How about bad gagues?
