Default Shackles or blocks?

Which one is the best way to lift the rear of my truck, or is there a better way that is still as cheap?

Well shackles will not lift a 4x4. If you get under your truck and look, you'll see that the shackles are mounted facing upward, so getting longer shackles will actually lower the back.

If you have access to a 2wd dakota, you can swap shackle mounts because they face downward on the 2wd. That will give you a couple inches of lift and better articulation.

Blocks will do it, but all they do is push the axle down. They won't give you any more articulation.

Very true, but the TBI 3.9L v6 probably doesn't have the torque to wrap the axles
