Default Power Steering Leakage

I was searching around the forums to see if anyone has a common problem with power steering fluid leaking and if there was an easy fix.

Basically it looks like it's leaking from the rack but I havn't had a good chance to look at it, I know one time one of the darn hoses popped off and I had to hook it back up.

Is there a common problem for 92 Dakotas to leak at a certain area and is there a recommendation to fix it properly?

Thanks in advance.

Nothing is a common problem specifly for the Dakota. But the typical area in general would be the hoses. Just got to go take a look.

Convert to manual steering....the early dakotas had that option.

LOL! Ya my 1950 Desoto had that too. I don't it recommend anyone! Especially for a simple leak fix.

Yea Napa sent us the wrong part without power steering, though I wanted the right rack because that thing is a bitch to drive without it... The rack was shot out of it's mind, like death. My buddies fixed it up for me for cheep, So far no more leaking.

nice. mine leaks too. guess i'll never get around to fixing it but right now i don't have power sterring in my truck since it all leaked out. now i'm not a strong guy but for me it seems easy to turn the wheels without power assist. even when i had my daytona with 15in rims. as long as you keep the vehicle moving while turn the wheels it super easy...lol
