Default Header replacement

I am looking to replace the whole exhaust system on my 1991 Dakota 3.9 V6. My question is whether or not the newer '92-'96 stock headers would work or not. The '91 is somewhat of an odd-ball year and I want to be 100% sure before I proceed. If they will not work what would be the cheapest option to go with. I am not looking for any performance upgrades or anything, as this truck is gonna be a wood hauling beater. Any feed back towards this would be appreciated.

92 and 93 factory exhaust manifolds would be a good choice, they will fit. 94-99 also fit, but are a tad lower in performance. Not sure about still fitting the Y pipe, tho...

I'm not to sure Magnum will fit on LA's. Some people say it will. But just looking at the gaskets they are slightly different. On the LA's 2 exhaust ports are into 1. So whether or not it will properly seal, I don't know. But here is a picture from autozone. If you wanted have a store pull them up and see if they match up.

It has been done on the v8 engines.....where there is room. A and FMJ bodies are a hard fit. The magnum exhaust manifolds bump into things like linkages, PS, etc. when dealing with a small engine compartment.
It should be easy in a Dakota....

I'll check with some local stores this week about the gaskets to see how they will work and provide some update there. Thanks for the quick posts guys.

Talked to a few guys locally yesterday and from their suggestions have decided to not try it. A good seal was, in their opinion's rather unlikely and I don't really feel like putting money towards that old crappy engine. So thus I will wait till I get get a cheap '92+ engine for it. Thanks for the advice and input.
