Will do, should be after May before I get it dragged up to my summer place where it will live out the rest of its existence.
I tried finding Mopar 16 inch wheels that I liked but no luck, also jeep. Jeep and Dodge use the same center hole size for the longest time, but all the Jeep wheels I found had way too much backspace, likewise newer Mopar wheels..

By backspace do you mean positive offset?

Pics of dakota with ford wheel...
Only have one reamed out to fit the hub, and no tire on it....but the comparison of the 2 sides shows that they just do fit without being too wide. The 225/65/16 tires just barely exceed the rim width, about a half inch on each side....

Not for me...NOTHING with the blue oval is going on or near my truck...I would go aftermarket before I went that route...Why stock Ford rims? There are hundreds of aftermarket possibilities...

The wheels were cheap, people still buy new vehicles and immediately put on different tires and wheels, and sell off the still new tires and wheels. The tires went on a friends vehicle, and I kept the wheels.

I was looking for 16" x 7" wheels to replace the 15x6 (5" backspace) that are stock on older dakotas, and found that the explorer sport trac has them with 4.5" backspace, so they will fit a lot of older mopars...

There are other explorer wheels that will work, and look even nicer, some are 15", some are bigger...

The center caps are plastic, and I can either cover the blue oval, or find some new center trim that will work. Except for the hub sticking thru the hole, the wheel looks pretty good with just acorn nuts....

When I look at the back/inside of a brand new after market alloy wheel and see lots of weights welded to the metal, that bugs me. IMO, unless you are spending the big bucks, factory wheels are better qualitly...
And yes, there is the fact that I am frugal....or cheap, if you like..

Tulipcitywheels makes a center cap for my sport trac wheels, without the blue oval...just a plain surface upon which I can put a "peel and stick" Ram's head decal....
