So it doesn't look like you're going for a ton of lift with that axle swap? I'm surprised to see you haven't done a shackle flip on that thing! It would be a lot better than blocks as it will give you more articulation!

Yeah Im going to skin that bumper with flat steal, but i need a wench first so i can build the brackets under the skin. and as far as the shackles go thats coming up, funds are a bit tight at the moment haha so trying to get the biggest bang for my buck. alot of time and handmade fabs done for this so far and yeah i wanted a bumper that could double as a bulldoser if needed haha

ok so i know its been a long time coming but here are the results, now i know there will be a bit of mixed thoughts on the placements of the front shakle but honestly it was the only way.

Nice! I love it. So what was hard? What was easy? If I did it I would do leaf springs too. They are as strong as springs get.

Lol, theres a reason for that! Leaf springs have to place the axle as well as support the weight of the vehicle and provide the spring. Thats exactly why I don't like them!! I don't like the idea of placing the axle with spring steel. Theres a reason leaf springs will wrap up and 3 and 4 link and ladder bar suspension doesn't! Personally, I'd rather do the extra work for a 3 or 4 link, cause although coil springs might not be as "strong" as a leaf spring, the overall suspension system as a whole is far superior in strength, flex, and overall control over the axle.
