Not sure where the $62 price came from, the Gates belt is $44.99 according to O'reilly's website.

I personally work at Advance and can tell you that there really isn't much price difference's between AAP, Zone, and O'reilly's. It seems we are higher on some things and lower on others and there is no rhyme or reason as to why. The bigger thing I would look at is who gives you the best service and support and stick with them.

When you go into the store know as much information as you can about what you are working on, year, make, model, engine, transmission, etc..etc.. because different options make differences on a lot of other things. And don't come in acting like a know it all douche, because we just make fun of people like that after they leave. Anyways I'm going to calm down now and not rant about my experiences.

If you are patient enough to do this, Advance usually has discounts online and you can pick the stuff up at the store, so basically you pay online and by the time you get to the store they will have everything waiting for you.

Advance gives the best service and support around here, thats for sure.

The Napa guy is cool too but you can tell he just hates sittin' round til the next guy comes along and then the Auto Value or whatever has okay people..even the scary old stoner lookin' dude that looks blitzed every time I've seen him. But none of them are like the guys at Advance. They remember you, your truck, the last thing you bought and ask how its workin' for ya, they dont treat you like you're an idiot and dont know anything whether you are one of those people thats a know it all douche or not lol and they all tend to keep me there a few minutes after my purchase by just BSing about stuff.

But when I go in there, I know right what I need and what to tell em and how much it costs cause I come to you guys or do my own little research all before, just to make there job easier and me not look stupid but I'm nowhere near a know it all douche haha.

speaking of punk teens...the last time i was at advance a suby full of them pulled up and acted all tough and what not(while needing something replaced on their car). they were like"we need this part for our turbocharged car. i talk to the employee who worked on their car for them and he goes, " man, that car was bone stock".

funniest situation ever

this is why i like this site...nice people, very informative and helpful...you should all be proud of yourselves

Our prices do change on Sundays and yes they are typically going UP. However there are usually some that come down in price as well. It all has to do with supply and demand.

I wasn't saying that you didn't give enough info, I was speaking generally. Usually all I get from people is "Yeah I need a belt for a 96 Dodge", and that's all I get until I pry into them.
