the guy i am talkin to about the tranny just told me it was out of an amc. will that matter???

If it was behind a Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep 318 or 360 small block motor, it shouldn't matter. Just make sure the starter hole is on the correct side of the bellhousing.

nope it wont work. starter is on the wrong side.i have the other v6 truck headed out here right now and then ill get started puttin my v8 in it. and run it till it breaks. but gently of course lol. then all i will need to do is get the nv3500 and transfer case and the manual tranny swaps done

That sucks that it won't work, but I guarentee you that you'll like the manual better!!

Hows the rest of the new truck compared to yours? (Frame, body, etc.)

yea trust me i like manuals way better. i hate autos never liked them. um he said some of its a little beat up. but the frame is good, also it is a manual at least, takin it easy will be worth it, and whatever is wrong with this truck, i can fix with my mulitple other dakotas. my three running ones are the ones i have listed, not so much for driving tho. i am waitin for a picture from it right now.

so i just got the pictures from that guy and the truck looks way better than the truck i already have lol. so i will just rent a cherry picker or something. how can i post the pics?

You can add a few as attachments, but I don't think you have a lot of room there. You can add some to your album in your profile and copy/paste them into your posts. Or, if you want a lot of space, you can create a photobucket (or similar) account and upload them there and copy/paste them.
