Default Bounce???

What shocks do you all run?

I have the 2x4 and the front of my truck bounces like a MO' FO'. My shocks are a couple years old and I took one off to see if it was still good and it is. I am running OEM. So what do you all run to stiffen it up?

I had Monroe Sensa-Tracs on all 4 corners. The rears had a coil "helper" spring around the shock.

Did that get rid of the bounce? My rear feels fine, but the front is something a bit undesirable.

Lol, I had no bounce, but my springs were turned up so tight that they didn't do much articulating in the first place.

LOL. But you're running a 4x4. These OEM shocks on the 2x4 stink and I don't like them.

I got Gabriel Ultras up front. And Monroe Air shocks out back.

For 2wd there is not much stock you can do to stiffen it up. You can add in coil spring spacers which will compress the spring a bit and make it stiffer, as well as give you a lift.

You can do something custom like add in air shocks. There are no direct fit ones, you would have to fit them somehow.

Or air bags totally custom.

I'm running monroe sensa-tracs on my 2 wheel drive in all 4 corners. I have no front end bob whatsoever. I can't say I have mini coil helpers in the rear tho. But they are a lot better than OEM

I'm running true original OEM and she handles like a DREAM. The shocks are still the same ones Dodge put in when they built the truck in 1995

i have the same bounce in the front end and the rear. but i recently changed out the rear shocks and when i compared the new rear shocks with the new front shocks i bought. the fronts where a lot looser than the rears. is the weight of the motor supposed to stiffen the front?
